The AV-Stor DT5 provides snap-on storage for small offices and workgroups requiring easy integration with the functionality and data protection found in traditional storage devices.
The DT5S-1A RAID 6 storage system provides extremely high levels of RAID 6 data protection in a portable and easy to transport form factor. The system provides USB 2.0, Firewire 800 and e-SATA interfaces for easy plug and play connection to Windows, Linux and Apple Mac computers, without the need to load any drivers.
Using the latest SATA-II disks from Seagate, the RAID system provides fastest transfer speeds available in a portable RAID system.
The RAID 6 feature allows for uninterrupted operation even with two simultaneous drive failures, with no loss of data or performance.
The system can be configured by the using the front LCD panel or over the network by using any web browser.
Overview
The AV-STOR DT5S-1A combines high speed FireWire800/1394b, FireWire400/1394a, e-SATA, and USB 2.0 host connections with SATA-II drive interface, to offer high performance, easy to manage redundancy and secure portable RAID subsystem.
The RAID subsystem offers easy scalability from RAID levels 0, 1 (0+1), 3, 5 and 6 to just simple JBOD, RAID configuration and monitoring can be done through the local LCD front control panel or serial port, and offers true plug’n’play to any Windows or Macintosh environment with no software or drivers required, making it very easy to use with minimal technical maintenance.
